“She is always sappy,” one of the ghosts announces behind me. “Like, all the time,” another one pipes up.
“Shh!!” I crescently howl through clenched teeth! “They will hear! My reputation!!”
“She gives us treats and reads us stories,” a third ghost betrays.
“But it is my headstone!” the ghost declared. “You took it from my graveyard!” retorted the warden of bones. The two old fiends quarreled jovially on their way to the necromantic law library to suss out ownership rights for the dead to see who would pay for the stone’s replacement and who would pay for dinner.
